Military Service Vs. A College Education In A Down Market
When the economical environment moves for a country, as ours has within these past few years, particular judgements shift within individuals lifestyles. Considering our country's current monetary environment, does entering in a branch of the armed forces provide more benefits than pursuing a higher education?

For the military, a recruit comes into basic training (the longest of which is the Marine Corps Boot Camp, and it is 13 weeks long), and after they have completed bootcamp, they decide on a career field they might like to practice with the military services. They also have the choice of getting moved to a unit, to where they can get started receiving hands-on training and knowledge in their chosen discipline.
Granted, we all i understand one of the most crucial issues that works in opposition to people choosing to go to the military, and that is the evident dangers that go along with enlisting, when battle circumstances are at hand. There is no sugar coating it, there is a probability you will be put in a life-threatening circumstance, and there is a chance that you may lose your life. If a person can come to realize and agree to this, then the many advantages of the armed service are considerable.
When a person joins the service, they start getting paid while they are conducting boot camp. This is entirely different from the pupils that would usually be paying out money, instead of receiving money. Also, the armed service offers a whole lot of programs that help individuals with healthcare, purchasing a house, and obtaining a college education. Another great gain is that individuals with experience in the military are usually considered first for several jobs that are available.
Granted there are many more benefits to joining the military as well, but with these benefits described, and those we know about going after a college education, which do you feel is the best choice for a person to make in today's economic climate?
