Frequently Asked Questions...
Should i join the US Air Force?
When i'm full grown i am supposed to be inbetween 5"6 - 5"11. I have okay grades. I am in the Civil Air Patrol, as a cadet. My brother is in the US Marines and he loves it. I just have a couple of questions. Does the US Air Force challenge you at all physically other than mentally? I want to be challenged all around but i want to be in something that is worthwhile!

Above is the link for the AF Fitness Standards. Your job will dictate how challenging fitness will be. In a more sedentary job (ie computers) you will have to find physically challenging things on your own. In other jobs (Para-rescue, TACP, Special Police), it's very physical.
It just depends on what you do. However, in today's military enviornment, expect to deploy often. When you're in the desert, it's very physically demanding.
Hope this helps.

Police Challenge Coins for Pipes and Drums Band
Founded in 1999, the Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department is a not-for-profit Police Bagpipe and Drum band. The mission of the group is simple. It is to "Honor Our Fallen" comrades, their families and friends in their time of need. The band has been privileged to participate in the honor ceremonies of their own fallen heroes as well as police officers and firefighters across the Midwest.
We recently created custom challenge coins for our customer, the Chicago Police Force Bagpipe and Drums Band. Each member of the band is an active officer. Their main goal is to honor and support the family and friends of police officers that have lost their life. Through competitions where they showcase their talents, they are able to spread their message and make a mark on their hometowns and surrounding communities.
Trading Coins with Other Bands is a Tradition
Custom challenge coins are handed out and traded with other bagpipe and drum bands from around the country. Police coins like these are gaining popularity because they give each distinct group within the police force a chance to own a personal coin that is custom made for the group. With so many different teams in the force, coins are a universal piece of memorial that ties all its members together.
Different Types of Metal Add to the Look and Appeal of Challenge Coins
A unique finish can be found on the backside of this coin. The brushed recessed metal was a specific request made by the band to help achieve a distinct look that they were going for. A more common finish for recessed areas would be textured metal or even smooth metal.
Different textures add a certain quality to challenge coins and give their recipients the feeling that they are valued. 3D images, sequential numbering, dual plating, and custom edges also highlight a custom coin's unique artwork. These are options that we offer our customers that help add to their appeal. Coins with higher perceived value are the first to be traded at events.
