Frequently Asked Questions...
My family & I(there will be 8 of us) are going to San Diego, CA in March?
None of us have been there before...or have even really ever travelled before. We are going out to see my cousin who is in the Navy, and on the US Nimitz base..but we will also be wanted to go to other places, like the Zoo & maybe sea world & what-not. We are debating if we should get a rental car? We have had people tell us the Trolleys will take you anywhere for pretty cheap... What do you suggest we do?
Answer:
As a general rule, getting around California without a car is not as easy and convenient as it is in most other states. It really depends on where you are staying, what your schedule is, etc. If there are 8 of you, I recommend just hiring a van, if it is within your budget, and make sure you have navigation (if you don't already have a portable unit, you can rent one along with the van). It's more fun if you have your own vehicle, and driving around California is not that hard, as long as you have navigation.
