Has Your Character Choice Sunk Your Mafia Wars Leveling Strategy?
It is a real pity that you have to select a Mafia Wars character class before you get a chance to play the game, because you don't necessarily understand how it will impact your ability to level up. Unfortunately, you can't switch your character choice after that initial pick anymore. When Mafia Wars was first released, you could alter character type in exchange for Godfather reward points, but that option was removed from the game.

I've heard talk that Zynga will reintroduce the Mafia Wars character type alteration option back into the game, but so far that's just what it is...talk. You'd expect Zynga to bring back the character changing opportunity again just because it would be a cash cow for them. Plenty of Mafia Wars addicts would love to buy a different character type. Zynga must really be in the weeds with Moscow and the programming for American West if they are overlooking the chance to make easy money on this character choice opportunity.
Looks like for the time being you are stuck with the character that you chose when you were a newbie without any Mafia Wars strategy for leveling. There are three possibilities for character type:
*Mogul
*Maniac
*Fearless
A character type has 1 big benefit, 1 top mafia spot, and one bonus power. In order to grasp the leveling arguments that we'll examine next, here are the character descriptions.
Mogul Character
Primary benefit: Gets the sixty minute take every fifty four minutes
Top Mafia spot: Bagman
Intermittent power: When you occupy the Bagman spot in another gamer's mafia, you have a chance to earn double the money on a certain percentage of jobs.
Maniac Character
Primary benefit: Energy rebuilds at one point every 3 minutes, rather than one point every 5
Top Mafia position: Button Man
Come-and-go power: When a maniac occupies the Button Man spot in another gamer's crew, you can attack a Mafia Wars gamer with superior stats, mafia size, and weapons, armor, and vehicles and have the chance to win the fight regardless.
Fearless Character
Major benefit: Health returns faster - 1 point every two minutes as opposed to one every three.
Top Mafia position: Wheel Man
Unique Power: As Wheel Man in someone else's mafia, a Fearless character will be able to complete some jobs without putting out any energy.
Most Mafia Wars strategists agree that the Mogul character doesn't help a player to level up more quickly. Mogul is a great character for money because they get more than two hours of extra money every day. In the lower levels of Mafia Wars - and in Cuba, too! - the additional money a Mogul earns is a real help for a player. Once you understand property investment, though, you'll get plenty of Mafia Wars income whether you are a Mogul or not. A Mogul will always make money more easily, but that won't be as meaningful in the upper levels.
Even with Mogul out of the running, there is tons of disagreement about whether Fearless or Maniac is the better character for Mafia Wars strategy in speed leveling. These are summaries of the debate:
Pro Maniac Character Position
The superior Mafia Wars leveling character is Maniac, since energy is what gets you experience and results in speed leveling. Energy is the name of the game in Mafia Wars. While the Maniac's come-and-go power isn't as awesome as it sounds because you won't pick fights you can't win once you understand fight strategy, recovering your energy quickly is so critical to leveling quickly that it outweighs any other aspect of character. So Maniac is the best leveling character to select.
Pro Fearless Character Position
If you want to level more efficiently, pick a Fearless character. Even though the health refills are considered a non-issue by most avid Mafia Wars gamers, the unique power of doing jobs for a zero energy price is a giant advantage for leveling. The leveling strategy only works if someone puts you into their top mafia Wheel Man spot, which can be a hard sell since your character isn't much of an asset to a crew at first. But if you get into that Wheel Man slot, you can do up to eleven percent of the jobs for no energy cost. Those conserved energy points allow a Fearless to level up a lot more quickly. When the jobs start costing more energy as you advance into the higher tiers, the Fearless bonus power gets more valuable. Additionally, Fearless' health recovery may be a bit valueless in NYC, but in Cuba it's aces because you take a pounding on the fightlist and pesos for the hospital are pretty thin on the ground.
What is the superior character pick for Mafia Wars leveling strategy? Assuming you can get into the Wheel Man position in someone's top mafia, I think Fearless is going to level fastest for you. Regardless, you can carry away this observation from the leveling controversy. If you want to succeed at speedy leveling, you'll have to learn all you can about managing energy. Whether you recover your energy more quickly or don't have to use energy at all on certain jobs, you can see that leveling is about Mafia Wars energy.

Cubans fought in Angola against western backed Unita and the South African defense force. They also aided the Ethiopians for a time in terms of actual Cuban soldiers fighting.
Cuban sponsored rebels (including Che) fought in the Congo and Bolivia and they trained and aided rebels in central and south america as well as other African conflicts.
