The Fun Of Combat Flight Simulator Games

Whether to feel the thrill of flight, the body lurching experience of landing on a moving aircraft carrier, or the adrenalin from shooting down an enemy; combat flight simulator games are fantastic fun. If you have fancied yourself as a pilot, they are certainly worthy of your time.

Possibly the single best thing about combat flight simulator games is the dog-fighting that goes on. They are also the best way to learn to controls of the airplane of course though, it may take some time. Wit and cunning will also be needed, as your opponent will be just as determined to take you down of course.

On bombing missions you are able to fly a bomber over enemy territory and blow up supply trains, bridges, bases or factories. If you play them online you are able to fly against other real people and make your flying time a better experience.

It allows us mere civilians to experience military flight, a little, without the need for rigorous training, exercise and wake up regimes! With different planes, guns and ordnance to play with, it really can be addictive. And all without the bad side of crashing, or the expense!

Some simulators give you the ability to flying as a certain ace or during different times of war. Some even give you the choice on driving land vehicles. You can pan the view out of the plane, something you cannot do in a real plane.

There is a chance to get to know the controls of a real airplane in combat flight simulator games too. Like the stick for example, or how to drop bombs or shoot another plane down, airspeed and turning. The military uses flight simulators to train their own pilots in a safe environment.

Frequently Asked Questions...

Who was the Ace of fighter Aces after the end of WW2?

Who was the the fighter Ace of fighter Aces after the second world war, was he German.

Answer:

the top three were German

Erich Hartmann 352
Gerhard Barkhorn 301
Gunther Rall275

There has been questions and controversy of the German method of calculating these numbers.

However national policies differed; Axis pilots tended to return to the cockpit over and over again until killed. Allied pilots were routinely rotated back to training bases to educate cadet flyers.

Germans credited a shared victory to only one pilot, while the French credited full victory to all participants. British and US air forces credited fractional shares of aerial victories, resulting in fractions, such as 11½, which might be for example 10 aircraft and three shares with the second pilot. Some U.S. commands also credited aircraft destroyed on the ground. The Soviets counted only solo kills, while group kills were counted separately, as did the Japanese. Probable kills are usually left out in the list.
